Rates

What determines the cost?

Turning Point Counseling does not use one flat rate for every client and therapist. The office can help you understand the rate that applies before you begin.

Therapist qualifications

Rates are based in part on the therapist’s credentials, experience, and clinical role.

Income-based discounts

Discounts may be available based on income and need. Contact the office for the rate that applies to you.

Session length

Christian counseling sessions are typically 45-50 minutes unless a therapist recommends a different structure.

Insurance

Out-of-network insurance support

TPC does not bill insurance directly or accept insurance as payment. Some plans reimburse for out-of-network mental health care.

Superbills

By request, TPC can provide a superbill with the coding and information you may need to submit to your insurance company.

Questions to ask your insurer

Ask whether you have out-of-network mental health benefits, what your deductible is, whether it has been met, and what reimbursement rate applies.

Clients pay TPC directly. Any reimbursement depends on the client’s own policy and the insurance company’s decision.

TPC accepts HSA and FSA cards as a form of payment, but some HSA/FSA companies may not be compatible with the merchant service code.
